Mome reads Mommy, My daughter's way to spell it when she was younger... It stuck. My son calls me Mome... just like it looks. I now sign all my notes to them "Love, Mome". It's our inside secret and makes them smile. I always want them to smile.

For the Person who has Everything

Do you have that person in your life who is impossible to buy a gift for? For me it's my Mother in Law. She has a very classic and traditional style. She pretty much has everything she wants or needs and other than the list of the same items she gives us every year (a red turtleneck, a red slip, and some other red item that requires being replaced each year) we find it hard to find something personal or special. We usually end up finding a nice piece of crystal for her to display, but after 14 years, even that is getting old.

I really enjoy getting people unique gifts, but my MIL is practical, so my kind of unique, doesn't always (read: never) work for her. Knowing that she wears glasses, and loves trying different frames I found these

Yep, red frames to go with all the other stuff we get her each year. Zenni Optical has added a
Holiday frames collection, and while I really wanted to get the snowflake frames, Hubby said something a little more traditional would go over better and get more (read: any) use. We're talking about a woman who goes out for every holiday with festive sweaters, earrings, and even pins. These red glasses will match every outfit she wears from Thanksgiving to New Year's, now that's a useful gift. Don't you think?
