Mome reads Mommy, My daughter's way to spell it when she was younger... It stuck. My son calls me Mome... just like it looks. I now sign all my notes to them "Love, Mome". It's our inside secret and makes them smile. I always want them to smile.

Making the Move

I think it's time to bring my Parenting knowledge and/or lack of knowledge to the masses. I'm always posting about the kids on my other blogs and figured it was time to create a space "just for them". This will now be where the kids projects and funny stories go. I'm trying to organize my writing efforts and create "homes" for my many different project. Come back in a while as I'm sure we (myself and my family) can make you laugh and give you ideas of what to do and what NOT to do as we travel this road of parenting.

  1. Good idea...been awhile since my were young; but love reading and seeing pics of the wee ones. You're right the kids would love to see a lighthouse. See if you can find the one closest to you, then do some research about the family that lived there in the beginning to take care of it, kids really do love that. They love stories about real people. I remember when my daughter was very young she would ask...is this real, do those people really exist?

I love wine at 5, as I'm currently sipping my wine; but thought I'd venture to this page to see how it's beginning.

might I suggest you open your comments to accept name and url. The easier it is for folks to communicate with you, the more comments and interaction you'll have.

For protection, you might want to use different names for your kids; but almost everyone loves to read stories about kids. They do make the world go round. Maybe, with Mother's Day approaching, you can relate the story of your Mother's Day with your kiddo's.

Will be the first Mother's Day, without my Mother being alive. She just passed about 2 wks ago.

  2. Sandy,
Thanks so much for stopping and all your advice tips. I'm actually starting this blog over as it was on today's platform and they hold the rights to all previous posts (ouch) I hadn't even edited anyof the publishing or comment features so thanks for reminding me to do that. I also appreciate the tips for taking the kids to see light houses. Excellent ideas.
