Mome reads Mommy, My daughter's way to spell it when she was younger... It stuck. My son calls me Mome... just like it looks. I now sign all my notes to them "Love, Mome". It's our inside secret and makes them smile. I always want them to smile.

Back to the Grind

Today is the first day of school. It seems like as soon as school starts our lives become busier. Getting one ready for school, making sure backpacks are packed, getting dinner together to make sure it's ready at a decent time so bath and bedtime can fall into place. Extracurricular activities, homework and then start getting ready for the next day. I'm glad I took some time to just enjoy my little boy before I sent him off to first grade.

I'm back!

Currently looking for more charities to spotlight and learn more about. If you have one that you think needs more recognition, e-mail me or comment here.

  1. I know what you mean. I have to get back into the stride of things. Last week was our first week back and I was tired by 7 pm just from having a different wake-up schedule. My son was feeling it too so we made a very interesting pair.

  2. Oh, school days. They're the best. I always loved the excitement my daughter had getting ready for school, coming home and sharing her day. The excitement she had when she learned something new. I miss that. Enjoy it, it truly is the best.

I have a charity you might be interested in.

I knit and crochet and have collected others who do as well on my blog, Bridge and Beyond. We knit and crochet hats, scarves, and mittens for homeless. Stop in and look around at the blog and all the love and beauty that's gone into these projects.

We can always use more helping hands, our badge on more blogs to help promote it, blogging about it to spread the word.

  3. Thanks for your offer of help both with the knitting and with the posting of the cause. Both are needed, and appreciated. Yes, we can surely use the little hats. The loom knitting works well for hats. I have the looms too, but for some reason haven't gotten into it. Got it initially I think for my young niece because she wanted to make something and I thought that would be better for her than two knitting needles.

Email me when you're ready to send something so I can give you my address, and I'll get you added to our list of team members on the blog.

    Thanks again for help.
