Mome reads Mommy, My daughter's way to spell it when she was younger... It stuck. My son calls me Mome... just like it looks. I now sign all my notes to them "Love, Mome". It's our inside secret and makes them smile. I always want them to smile.

Good Luck Charlie

Charlie Sheen, Rock Star from Mars, You can't process me with a normal brain, Two and a Half Men, Charlie Sheen train wreck, Charlie Sheen rant, Charlie Sheen today show, Charlie Sheen interview, Charlie Sheen pictures, Charlie Sheen teeth, Charlie Sheen dead, Charlie Sheen rehab, Charlie Sheen news, Charlie Sheen hospital, Charlie Sheen gold teeth, Charlie Sheen hospital, Charlie Sheen mugshot
Dear Denise and Brooke,

I have no interest in watching a train wreck, be it a real one or the destruction of a person's life.  I try to steer myself clear of negative forces and have removed people from my life that don't make me a better person or at least want to be.  I could not imagine having Charlie Sheen as part of my family, in any capacity.  To have children with him would definitely be the worst in his current condition and state of mind.  Really?  Why are either of you even letting this man have time with your children?  I get that he's the dad but...  What possible positive influence could he be having on them?

The Today Show showed him with his live-in Stripper and Model that are helping take care of the kids, The Goddesses as he calls them.  Over. My. Dead. Body.  The Press has him surrounded and none of us need to witness his self destruction, especially your kids.  He's a ticking time bomb and it's only a matter of time before he fully explodes.  Right now it's like watching small fragments and mini explosions but I have no doubt a full blown explosive situation isn't far off.

Seriously.  If this man gets drunk and beats you why would you ever let him be around your children along side strippers and hookers.  Is anyone taking responsibility for the kids?  Recently separated myself, I understand looking forward to the time without the kids.  In my case, the anticipation is much better than the actuality, but you have people.  There must be someone else more responsible to leave your children with so you can go shopping, to the gym, to lunch, fancy dinners and for dating.  Use Them.

It is truly sad what this must be doing to your family.  Mine is not unscathed.  My deceased uncle's son (from a previous marriage, so we're not related) is one of the Writer/Producers of Two and a Half Men so my family (even if indirectly) is affected too, and I take personal offense to Charlie trying to cause the demise of the show.

Ladies, do what's best for the children.  I do not believe that Daddy involvement is what's best for them right now.  It's sad.  It's true.

...and to The Goddesses: Really?  Being young and stupid must be great fun and I hope it doesn't cost you more than you are willing to give.  The man has a poor track record and subjecting yourselves to potential harm is just foolish.  Find another, safer, way to become famous.  No one is going to remember either of you for this.

Good Luck Charlie

  1. I agree!! Over my dead body! Especially Brooke letting the boys stay there right now and be on TV. UGH! Let's face it - he is living and sleeping with two women. It is only a matter of time before six and seven arrive.

  2. I'm glad your pleas were echoed by the folks who removed his kids from his home. I cannot imagine being the kid of this man, and to watch this implosion first-hand.

  3. It's one thing to shill yourself on every talk show there is but to expose your children in this whole sordid mess is unpardonable. I'll bet they'll cherish that piece of videotape from last night for the rest of their lives...not.

  4. Beautiful - well written and perfectly stated. These poor children. someone, somewhere needs to intervene before they get nailed with the shrapnel.

  5. "No one is going to remember either of you for this." I was going to wholeheartedly agree, but then I remembered how many others before them have gone on to become reality TV stars. I can't think about it too much - it just upsets me. Great post, Rach!

  6. Nice take on this whole mess. I remember when Sheen and Denice were divorcing and wondering why she was being so hard on him with the kids. Now I know. She seems to be protecting the girls pretty well, but I think Brooke is just as messed up with Charlie. I wouldn't put those boys with either one of them.

  7. Indeed. The children are the only ones we should be concerned in this whole circus act. I hate to sound crass, but I do hope the mothers are able to secure good steady child support for the children. This man does (DID) make $2 million per episode for that show...

  8. All I know is what's been bandies about the internet the last several days, but it looks like a train wreck waiting to happen, and I feel sorry for his kids. I wish them all luck in turning this around.

  9. junebug~ Maybe a nonreproduction order is due?

Jenn~ I heard that today. The poor kids will look back on this and NOT laugh.

Dufus~ That's the point. Let him self destruct alone and get the kids out. of. there. I hear it was done today.

Christy~ Thank You and you are right, they are innocent bys tanders who stand to lose so much.

Margaret~ Right. The reality shows. They are so off my radar I didn't even think of that. Hopefully it won't happen.

Jayne~ Denise may be doing a better job now but weren't she and the kids on vacation with him during the Christmas "Hooker stole my watch" episode?

Absence~ I'm sure they are getting paid well and wouldn't be surprised if the Christmas trip with Denise was "paid for" as well. Otherwise, why do it?

Linda~ It is a train wreck and not one I'm super interested in watching.

  10. He would not be my first choice for a sitter or my last for that matter. Money and fame really warps people's minds. I bet in a month or two, we'll be hearing about a Charlie Sheen Reality Show - Five Kids, Two Goddesses and One fricking rock star from Mars.

  12. Amen Sista. I gotta tell you, I was quite relieved this morning when I saw on the news - his children had been removed from his house last night - right after the 20/20 interview aired.

  13. Rachele,
I have been reading all our Charlie Sheen posts. For me, I think this quote may be the whole reason I participated, to find another kindred spirit:
"I try to steer myself clear of negative forces and have removed people from my life that don't make me a better person..."
That is a key piece to my own well-being! :-)

  14. I hate to even say this because some people will not understand...
Sometimes we as divorced mothers have no choice whether or not our children are exposed to their dangerous, drug addicted fathers.
I just recently went through and awful divorce and custody battle. Guess what? Because my ex had $$ and I didn't, NO ONE WOULD LISTEN TO ME!!
The judge kept ignoring me, even my own lawyer said I "shouldn't take the kids away from him too, when he is losing everything else." I even had PROOF. 5 arrests in 3 months, admitted drug use, he was WEARING AN ANKLE MONITOR for alcohol (and YES he wore it to court, right in front of the judge!).
I had no choice! Now, I am not sure what these women in Charlie Sheen's life have or don't have, but in the real world, MONEY TALKS! And I am sure that as much money as Sheen makes, he could buy off any judge he wants..
You know the saddest part? My ex is DEAD now. He was on the same destructive path that I am watching Sheen go down...
No one would ever HEAR me when I tried to tell them this was happening. They thought I was the "jealous ex-wife." I even wrote letters to all of my congressmen, representatives, senators, and the PRESIDENT! I GOT NOTHING! Only letters saying, "we're sorry, it is not our area, please contact (insert next person that would send me on down the line of no action)."
It is a SAD WORLD when it takes money to protect our own children:( Thank God that Sheen made it apparent of his condition on t.v. otherwise those babies could have end up getting hurt.

  15. Meleah~ I had actually done the post on Tuesday after watching him at home with "The Goddesses". Glad to see I wasnt the only one who thought the fact the kids were even in the house was ridiculous.

Ferd~ It just sucks too much energy out of me. It sometimes takes me a little longer to make the move because i start to second guess myself. I shouldn't have to do that.

Anonymous~ I understand more than you know and good for you for TRYING Everything to keep your kids safe. It's sad to watch someone self destruct and you'll drive yourself crrazy trying to help someone that doesn't want it. Best move is to just get out of the way. Wish your situation had worked out better.

  16. She isn't a stripper, she's a self described porn star which boggles the mind, does that mean she just makes the movies but doesn't get paid for them?

As for leaving the kids with him, sadly you don't always get that choice. When I got divorced my lawyer told me that unless my ex husband was in jail for murder the courts weren't going to deny him parenting time, and even then he had the right to have the kids brought to him in prison. My ex wasn't bad, there was no reason to keep the kids from him but during a divorce things get really heated and people say the stupidest things. While I do think he is a bit of a train wreck I haven't seen any behavior that warranted removing his children from the house in the middle of the night. Don't get me wrong, I don't think raising children with porn stars and pot models is the best way to go but it doesn't look like the children were in any danger at all. It also seems as if he didn't show much interested in them before all this started so in time his involvement will probably wane like it has with his other children. And, it seems as if the boys mother has issues of her own and might not be the best parent at the moment either.

  17. Jen~ I told you I'm not following that closely. I'd prefer she be a stripper than a porn star but can't imagine why. I understand that people don't always have a choice in custody and visitation but when this man is unravelling in front of the world I'd think someone would at least make sure the kids don't have to witness it, kwim?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Wow. So true. I could not understand why no one talked about child endangerment until the kids were taken away from him. I know I'm not supposed to judge. But, you know what? I do.

So here I go: How can anyone believe that any woman--porn star, nun or senior citizen--is shacking up with this rich crackhead and not doing drugs? Do Sheen's kids deserve the freak show they're exposed to daily?

It's true that millions of children live in terrible conditions with lousy parents. But this guy is in our faces, crowing about his crazy, debauched lifestyle.

Why hasn't he been busted for drugs...or anything? Aren't those cops and the people who pulled strings for Sheen culpable to some degree in what's happening now?

I should ignore this stuff and be a better human being--but I'm not. Thank you for being so wise about this tragic situation. I hope I can get there, too.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Kathcom~I'm pretty sure they are all doing drugs. There's stuff you can by to test negative and I'm sure he has access to it. I saw a report that he's reported two different cars stolen over the past few years and they have both been found in ditches near his home. I don't think this is coincidence. I think he has enough money to buy coverups. Has he actually been caught in possession of drugs other than in his system? I don't know. Maybe that's why he always gets rehab instead?

  20. "The Goddesses" are way too young and inexperienced in the non-porn world to have any concept of how they're being abused by Charlie. And I can't even begin to express how much abuse those two little boys are experiencing. I'm hoping their grandparents have the strength to step up and care for them.

  21. I loved the show and am sorry to see it go. I personally don't care what anyone famous does in their personal life and I do wish everyone would stop talking about it. Everyone is playing into his hands, giving him the TV, radio, newspaper, and blog time he wants. If people ignored him instead of making him even more famous it would be better.

I do feel sorry for his kids, I feel sorry for lots of celebs kids. Many of them have anything but a normal childhood.

Quit asking him stupid questions, and you'll quit getting stupid answers is my thought.

Visiting all my friends today from Bridge and Beyond to say, have a great wkend.
    Sandy

  22. Vote with your remote. When his face comes off turn the channel, or better yet turn off the boob tube. If people stopped watching, the media would have to stop shoving him in our faces.
