I had a conversation with my (newly turned) 8 year old daughter, about the possibility of dating.
Me.
Not her.
Her Father and I have been apart for more than 3 years.
I approached it like this...
Me: How would you feel if I started dating?
...:and this is what happened...
Her: I would feel hurt if you didn't tell me.
Me: How about if I promise to tell you if he is worthy of YOUR company?
Her: Mom. If you like a boy, and he doesn't like you, he is stupid. If he does like you, he should get on his knees and be thankful, that a woman as great as you likes him. You are Mome. and deserve for someone to love you. I broke up with "K" today, but it's okay because "D" is my new boyfriend. You should have that too.
How do you argue with that?
I have a champion in my corner.
Not sure I'm deserving.
