I hate wearing a bra!
I said it.
It will come as no surprise to those that "know" me.
I'm not sure when it began but it gets progressively worse with every year. If I'm at home, I'm not wearing one unless I know you'll be stopping by. If you stop by unannounced...you get what you get (and shouldn't be upset). I used to keep one on the stairs just in case someone stopped by but the dog really likes to chew on them so that stopped a couple months ago when we got her. I wear one when I go out but take it off the minute I get home, usually before taking off my shoes. When I go back to work, which I'm working on now, this life of leisure will come to an end. Better let the girls have their free time now...before it's too late.
Anyway. The only people that stop by unannounced are the UPS guy, the Mail Lady, an occasional FedEx guy and my In-laws. Mostly the In-laws. They catch me bra-less all. the. time. I'm sure they're not thrilled. I also don't believe the kids are observant enough to know the difference, but I may be way off. You tell me.
Last week when I was sick my MIL helped my 4 year old daughter make a Get Well card for me. It was really very sweet of both of them. I'm curious, though, who decided on the pictures that were cut out and added to the card. Who do you think it was? 4 year old daughter OR MIL who always catches me "free"?
Are those subliminal messages?
ROFL omg thank you for the laugh! I am with you - bras suck! I rarely wear one when I am at home - I mean why? LOL - I do think those are subliminal messages on the card...yep.ReplyDelete
This is hilarious! I hate wearing a bra too and Sundays are usually free days and let's just hope I don't have to leave the house because I don't put one then either. I do wear a coat so it's not like anyone can tell.ReplyDelete
You should probably frame that card and put it on the wall at your new job, just so people understand.
LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is too freaking funny!!! I am sure it was MIL, I can't imagine that she is EVER braless!!!! Let them hang girl!!!! I will "hang" with you!! :)ReplyDelete
LOL! OMG I can't stop smiling!!!! It’s a good thing my kids are older because I’d be getting one of those cards too.ReplyDelete
You're like Sue Ellen Mischkie -- the braless wonder from Seinfeld. Remember her? Elaine gave her a bra as a present and she wore it as a shirt. Love that episode!ReplyDelete
I remember Sue Ellen Mischkie. Elaine's arch nemesis!ReplyDelete
That is hilarious. I wouldn't worry about negatively impacting your kids with the swaying pendulums, though. Once the greeting card hints start, they're well past potential traumatization and probably sneaking therapy visits behind your back.ReplyDelete
yep, that was passive (br)aggressiveReplyDelete
this is HILARIOUS!!!! Ahahahahahahhahah! Thank you for making my day!ReplyDelete
I think that's great! I expect when your kids get older, and they realize that this message didn't hit the spot, they will probably buy you a bra for Christmas!ReplyDelete
oh my, I am cracking up! I am the same way. LOLReplyDelete
I hate them too however age/gravity dictates otherwise. At some point they became necessary, and regardless of size too. Seems they really show a woman's age lol That said, the HUGE hint hint is hilarious!ReplyDelete
That seems to be a common theme here...bras sucking. Glad you got a laugh. My precious baby make me laugh every day.ReplyDelete
One day a week? Poor babies :) If I have a job with a wall I will so do that!ReplyDelete
It's like vacation every day around here.ReplyDelete
Who does that? I know she likes to look at magazines but what magazines was she "reading"?ReplyDelete
You may be right. She's 4. Someday she'll "get it".ReplyDelete
She made my day with the card so it's the least I could do.ReplyDelete
As long as they don't expect me to wear one on Christmas day!ReplyDelete
I'm so happy I'm not alone. I really need my MIL to read all this :)ReplyDelete
gravity schmavity. The older I get the less I wear one.ReplyDelete
...except maybe not quite as perky anymore.ReplyDelete
I used to be a 36I cup - that's 6 d's - after I had my second kid. I was always top heavy. I had a reduction between kids at about 29 years of age and i told my doc to make them a C+ and to staple them to my chin. I could easily walk around without a bra now save for the fact that I'm constantly nipping. I always look very cold or very happy. It sucks.ReplyDelete
