Mome reads Mommy, My daughter's way to spell it when she was younger... It stuck. My son calls me Mome... just like it looks. I now sign all my notes to them "Love, Mome". It's our inside secret and makes them smile. I always want them to smile.

Frisbee Football, Posts in Draft and Missing Keys

randomtuesday

It's Tuesday and you know what that means. Time to get out all the random thoughts in your head. It's really quite simple...and fun. Then head over to and link up with all the other randomers and get a little inside their heads. It's a good way to get to know some one.

We had kind of a crazy weekend. Poor Boog had and accident playing Frisbee at school on Friday. He now looks like this...

Who knew Frisbee was such a dangerous sport? Apparently someone jumped on him as he was picking up the Frisbee and her knee to his fore arm caused it to fracture. Ouch. No more Frisbee football, Boog.

I'm still working on going through the kids clothes. It's a never ending process with as fast as they grow. I donated 7 bags to the am vets a couple weeks ago and then found a box of baby clothes in the garage. I'll add it to my 6 bags for next month.

Girls Night In was Saturday and my car keys are missing. The two should totally not be related since GNI is two doors down and no driving was involved. Nonetheless. They are missing and no on has seen them since Saturday. Just saying.

Have you ever struggled to get you first grader to do their homework? We know it's not hard for him he just doesn't like to focus and get it done. Now we have to do it left handed. Any suggestions?

Someone told me that they couldn't fully see a post I did on another blog. The post was in draft. How is it possible they saw it at all? They even knew what it was about.

Now I must rush off. I'm working all week out of the house and I must get ready.

  1. Poor guy! It must've really hurt. That's some big cast! How long will he have to leave it on?

I was just thinking it was time to weed out the clothes again now that spring is sort of here.

Your car keys aren't here, just in case you were wondering.

  2. The little guy looks very brave. He also has a smug look in his eyes. Maybe he is thinking about homework also. Someone is going to have to do the writing for him. Guess who?

  3. Awwww! Poor Boog! Who knew Frisbee was such a dangerous sport?!

I have some serious work ahead of me to sort out and get rid of some of Princess Nagger's outgrown clothes - thanks for the reminder. :)

Princess Nagger is in first grade and it's a struggle to get her to focus and do her homework each day, too. She has to do it immediately following her after school snack before she can play, but she'll end up dragging her after school snack out for well over an hour. Then try to negotiate a 'fun break' after that...she can get her homework done in under 10 minutes, but sometimes drags it out to three hours with distractions! So I'm looking for suggestions, too. ;)

  6. LOL @ we have to do it left-handed! I Sooooo feel you. I'd love to share some advice with you if only I wasn't going through the same thing. That being said, I think it's normal for all kids to go through that.

Best thing is like what Stacy said, negotiate a fun break after that. But there was a time that not even a fun break to the playground was motivation enough.

Anyways, i hope poor Boog gets better.. That must've hurt something awful! :(

As they say, turn off the lights and walk around the house pitch dark. if you slip on something, must be what you've been looking for. :) :) Hope you find ur car keys soon!

  7. Draft you say, even weirder, just thought it odd I couldn't read it. No clue what happened.

He's cute even if bandaged up. Do everything verbally, and you write it?

    Keys....hum, one of the kids?

Yes, please send socks; they really are always in need and I ask they be store bought vs hand made for longer wear. If you look back you'll see where we've photographed them off and on as they've come in.

    Thanks bunches, happy Friday
    Sandy
