Mome reads Mommy, My daughter's way to spell it when she was younger... It stuck. My son calls me Mome... just like it looks. I now sign all my notes to them "Love, Mome". It's our inside secret and makes them smile. I always want them to smile.

Chateau Morrisette - "Dogs for a Cause" Wines

You know me, always looking for something new and unique. I was checking out some different wineries today and came across Chateau Morrisette Winery. They have partnered with Service Dogs of Virginia and created 2 special wines to increase awareness as well as provide ongoing financial support to the cause.

Since my Step Mom uses a service dog, and loves wine, this might be a definite idea for a Christmas gift. (Shhh, Dad. Keep it a secret)

Liberty - Service Dog Red
This dry red wine is blended from three of Virginia's finest grape varieties, Chambourcin, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. Bursting with deep flavors and aromas of blackberry, blueberry, black cherry, and plum, Liberty features a long finish with hints of toast and spice. This sumptuous wine is a worthy tribute to Liberty.

Independence - Service Dog White
A blend of Traminette and Riesling, this refreshing dry white wine is packed with the lively fruit characters of grapefruit and melon. The smooth texture and entrancing aromas of white flowers and roses complete this delicious tribute to Independence

Both of these wines are priced at $11.99. What an incredible way to raise awareness and support a cause. My Hat is off in honor of this idea and Chateau Morrisette.
